What is a PLC?
It is a term that is often used to describe any group of professionals who are working in a group and learning together, but Rick DuFour defines it as, "Educators committed to working collaboratively in ongoing processes of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve. Professional learning communities operate under the assumption that the key to improved learning for students is continuous job-embedded learning for educators." Learning by Doing (2006). PLC is a journey, not a destination.Schools don’t “do” PLCs; they are PLCs.Would you like to learn more?
